Student Conduct

  • Respect and Understanding: Respect towards Jinga Jinga coaches is essential. We recognise that our youngest participants, starting from 3 years old, are still developing their understanding of social norms and behaviours. Jinga Jinga is committed to guiding them with patience and supportive teaching methods.
  • Behaviour Management: If a child exhibits challenging behaviour, Jinga Jinga will collaborate with parents/carers to address these issues constructively. Persistent and disruptive behaviour will lead to a consultation with parents to find a suitable solution, which may include a tailored participation plan.
  • Progressive Approach: Our behaviour management policy is designed to be progressive and educational, aimed at nurturing the child's growth and understanding of appropriate conduct within a group setting. Dismissal without a refund will be considered only as a last resort and after all supportive measures have been exhausted.

Health and Safety

  • Ensure your child brings a water bottle to stay hydrated.
  • Parents must inform Jinga Jinga of any health issues that may affect their child’s participation in sessions. In cases of emergency where a parent cannot be reached, Jinga Jinga will take necessary actions to ensure the child’s safety, which may include contacting emergency services.

Registration and Payment

  • Parents must ensure that all information provided during registration is accurate and up-to-date. Especially emergency contact information, medical records and photo consents. Please notify Jinga Jinga of any changes immediately.
  • Changes to activities or cancellations will be communicated via email.
  • Payments accepted via Direct Debit or online payment methods.

Cancellation and Refunds

  • Organisation-Initiated Cancellation: Jinga Jinga reserves the right to cancel activities due to insufficient enrolment. Affected families will be notified via email and may choose another class or request a refund.
  • If Jinga Jinga cancels a session before it begins, registered participants will receive a full refund within 7 days or a credit for future sessions.
  • Parent-Initiated Cancellation: If you decide Jinga Jinga is not the right fit after your child's first session, notify us within 24 hours for a full refund. Subsequent cancellations require a 30-day notice, with refunds provided for unused sessions beyond the notice period, minus any processing fees.

Attendance Policies

Sessions are to be attended consecutively as scheduled. No refunds or credits will be given for missed sessions. If you know you will be absent, please notify us 48 hours in advance. You may send another child in place of your registered child, provided they meet the age requirements for the session.

Collections and Late Pick-up

  • Children must be collected on time by parents or authorised adults. The programme is not insured beyond scheduled class times.
  • Initial Grace Period: A 5-minute grace period is allowed for the first occurrence of late collection beyond the scheduled pickup time. During this period, no charges will apply.
  • Initial Late Fee: If the parent/carer arrives more than 5 minutes but within 10 minutes after the scheduled collection time, a fee of £10 will be charged.
  • Additional Penalties: After the initial 10-minute period, late collections will incur a charge of £1 per minute. This fee is payable within two weeks of the late pick-up.
  • Loss of Grace Period: Should late pickups occur more than twice in a term, the grace period will no longer apply, and the initial late fee will be charged immediately after the scheduled collection time.
  • Repeated Offences: Consistent tardiness will be monitored, and repeated late collections may lead to termination of enrolment without a refund. This measure is to ensure minimal disruption to the programme and respect for the time of our staff and other families.

Instructor Absence

If an instructor is unavailable, efforts will be made to provide a substitute. Class activities may be adjusted accordingly, and parents will be notified of any changes.

Additional Policies

Parental Responsibilities and Conduct

  • Parents and children are expected to behave respectfully and responsibly during sessions. Unacceptable behaviour may result in temporary or permanent exclusion from the programme.
  • Where parents are allowed to be inside the class, they are responsible for supervising any siblings brought to the session and must not leave them unattended or involve them in the session unless they are officially registered.

The content and materials provided during Jinga Jinga sessions are proprietary and confidential. Parents and participants agree not to copy, disclose, or use any material from the sessions for any commercial purposes or outside the sessions without explicit permission from Jinga Jinga.
